
Ms Rosie Eyre MITI
French and Spanish to English translator specialising in literature and the arts, a former mentee of the National Centre for Writing's Emerging Translator Mentorships Programme (2020-21) and winner of Third Prize in the John Dryden Translation Competition 2021. Holder of a first-class degree in Modern and Medieval Languages (French and Spanish) from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Translation and Interpreting Studies from the University of Manchester.
My published book translations to date cover various titles for adults and young readers, including the crime thrillers 'The Stranger in the Seine' and 'Angélique' by bestselling French author Guillaume Musso (Orion Books, July 2023 / October 2024), the dystopian novella 'Survivor' by Swiss-French author Julie Guinand (Strangers Press, 2022) and Spanish photojournalist Juan Zarza's 'Caring in Times of COVID-19' (2021). My translations of children's and YA titles include '100 First Words for Toddlers: English-French bilingual' (Rockwell Press, 2021), Maxe L'Hermenier's French graphic novel adaptations of Anthony Horowitz's 'Groosham Grange' and 'Return to Groosham Grange' (Walker Books, January 2024 / forthcoming June 2025) and the 'Unicornia' picture book series by Spanish author Ana Punset (Walker Books, 2024—present).
I also work regularly with publishers and cultural organisations on a broad spectrum of shorter projects across the arts and humanities, as well as specialising in academic translation within the arts, humanities and social sciences.
