Mr Igor Dmitruk MITI
I started my career as a full-time translator and editor in April 2006. Since then I have specialized in medical, pharmaceutical, and regulatory documentation. My main clients are Contract Research Organizations (CROs), for whom I have meticulously translated, edited, and reviewed hundreds of specialist-facing documents, including Clinical Trial Protocols, Investigator's Brochures (IBs), Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), Development Safety Update Reports (DSURs), and Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs). My work also extends to patient-facing materials like Informed Consent Forms (ICFs), medication package inserts, and medical device user instructions.
My skills also extend to the linguistic validation of medical questionnaires. I have experience conducting interviews with patients in hospitals and care homes to gather feedback on medical language comprehensibility. This experience has proved invaluable in my translation and editing work of patient-facing documentation.
I am a proficient user of SDL Studio and an advanced user of memoQ, which I leverage to ensure consistency with client-specific glossaries, term bases, and style guides. In addition to my core translation and editing capabilities, I have also explored the areas of scripting and automation, employing tools like AHK and Python to streamline routine text processing tasks. My technical proficiency also includes editing content in languages such as HTML and XML.
In my free time, I play the Renaissance lute and the recorder.
