I help German and Spanish companies and organisations to get their message across effectively to a British audience, primarily in the education, international development, marketing, music, sport, telecommunications, and travel & tourism sectors.

To do this, I translate or transcreate (a combination of translation and original English copywriting) their materials into British English that reads as naturally and compellingly as the original German or Spanish text.

The copy I write grabs British readers' attention and impacts their emotions just as the original text does with a native German or Spanish audience. As a result, your UK readership, potential clients and followers are far more likely to engage with your content and heed your calls to action.

I have a Master's degree in Interpreting and Translating from the University of Bradford (graduation year 2008) and have been working as a professional translator since 2007, beginning with a five-year period as an in-house translator at a major international telecommunications company based in Germany.

I've also been a Qualified Member (MITI) of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) since 2015, and am committed to improving my skills on an ongoing basis through continuing professional development. For example, I've just recently completed TranslaStars' excellent Expert on SEO & SEA Localization and Content Creation course (September 2022).

Additionally, I offer proofreading and editing services for English copy written by non-native British English speakers.
