An ITI-assessed, Oxford-educated translator, subtitler and Chartered Linguist. With particular experience in the fields of law, business and journalism gained over 18 years, I can produce authentic, stylish English that meets the demands of top-level international institutions, businesses and law firms.

My legal translation experience includes judgments, legislation, family law, child repatriation cases, ECHR cases, property sale contracts, criminal law, civil litigation, witness statements and privacy notices. I have studied law and hold the CILEx Level 3 Diploma in Law and Practice and Level 3 Certificates in Law and Practice in both Criminal Litigation and Civil Litigation.

In the business field, I have translated contracts, T&Cs, articles of association, tender documentation, annual reports, AGM minutes and press releases. I previously worked as a corporate finance researcher covering M&A deals in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Genuine native English speaker, born and raised in the UK. I hold a master's degree in linguistics from the University of Oxford.

Other fields I have translated in include government, international development (including for UNESCO, GFATM and GAVI), journalism, pharmaceutical (especially clinical trials), diplomas, the EU and history. In one of my most prestigious projects to date, I translated papers written by Russian historians for an international cultural conference held in 2006 at Kymenlaakso Summer University in Finland entitled "Research and Identity: Non-Russian Peoples in the Russian Empire".

I have translated over half a million words for EU institutions including the European Commission and European Parliament and have worked as an in-house translator at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.

On the more artistic side, I have subtitled award-winning documentaries for Recorder, a Romanian investigative journalism NGO. I was a member of the subtitle syncing team at the 2023 Transylvania International Film Festival in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and am a member of the Emerging Translators' Network of literary translators.
