I am a native Israeli qualified translator and interpreter with more than 20 years of experience. I live in London. Hebrew < > English is the main language pair I work with.

I provide the following services: translation, interpretation, proofreading, transcription, subtitling, QA/QC, localisation, and transcreation.

I hold a BA degree in English Literature and Middle Eastern Studies from Tel-Aviv University. I completed further MA studies in Middle Eastern studies at TAU.

I am a qualified member (MITI) of the ITI (Institute of Translation & Interpreting). The ITI is the leading professional organisation for linguists in the UK (my name and details can be found on the ITI website). I am also ISO 17100:2015 qualified (acknowledged by the ITI as working to international standards).

I specialise in legal, literary, psychology, and marketing translations. I also translate academic dissertations, didactic and psycho-didactic diagnoses, certificates, film scripts, and government-related documents to name but a few. I also provide proofreading services (SLC - Second Linguist Checks, and quality control) for an array of customers regularly. My command of the English language is excellent and very near to native.

I'm registered as a qualified freelance translator and interpreter with leading translation agencies in the UK and other European countries.

Over the past few years, I have been working for several leading translation agencies in the UK, translating mainly legal documents to be used in court and by various government ministries. I have also translated dozens of legal and financial documents mainly from English into Hebrew and vice versa for private clients in the UK and abroad.

Among my clients are law companies (both in Israel and in the UK), banks, The British Library, the HMRC, the National Crime Agency (NCA), the British Ministry of Justice, production companies, and private clients to name but a few.

In the literary domain, over the past few years, I have translated an autobiography, Memoirs of a Holocaust survivor, a collection of short stories, and parts of a novel. A few years ago I completed a large-scale translation project for the British Library of biblical, historic, and philosophical nature; I translated the legal Agreement between the State of Israel (Ministry of Strategic Affairs and the Zionist Federation) for the TLV in LND festival which took place in London in 2017; I translated a large scale legal project for the NCA (National Crime Agency in England) and a few months ago I completed a large volume project for the British Ministry of Justice. Earlier this year I completed the translation of a Psy.D dissertation (equivalent to PhD) in psychology.

In the Interpretation realm: a few years ago, I completed an interpretation assignment of 3 days at the Royal Courts of Justice (High Court) in London (Hebrew < >English). I also carried out interpretation assignments for the TV news network CNN office in London (carried out in a booth). In 2019, I provided consecutive interpretation for an Israeli governmental delegation headed by a deputy minister during an official visit to London. I also provided consecutive interpretation for 4 days for an Israeli delegation who visited England for technical training purposes. In November 2019, I completed a simultaneous interpreting assignment at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris. I also carry out interpretation assignments at court (mainly family court) and face-to-face regularly. In January 2020, I attended an international conference in Bucharest in my capacity as an interpreter.

My rates are determined by the English word count (source/target), subject matter, complexity, and schedule of the project. I usually prefer to see the document/s to be translated/proofread before providing a quote. CVs, certificates, bills, bank statements, salary slips, and medical documents are priced differently. I do not charge VAT. Upon completion of the translation, I issue an invoice with all my relevant details. For large-scale projects (above 10,000) a deposit of 10% applies. Payment can be made via bank transfer

If required, I can provide a Certification of the translation at an additional cost (£20). This is an official certificate, in accordance with the ITI regulations, that attests to the authenticity of the translation. A signed copy (with my relevant details and a seal of the ITI) will be sent by post. The Certificate bears no legal authority.
