Summer is a former university translation senior lecturer. As a freelancer, she has interpreted for Royalty & high-ranking officials; she is also a translator and trainer where she has run translation workshops at national and international levels, such as the Qatar Foundation. Her qualifications include a PhD in Translation and Interpreting, ITI exam, DPSI (Law & Health) and Diploma in Translation. She is a Chartered Linguist and a member of the American Translators Association. Summer was awarded the ITI Best Interpreting Assessment Performance Award 2022 and the ITI Chair's Pin for her contribution to the profession.
