Translator since 1990 and ITI-qualified in Japanese-to-English and English-to-Japanese translation since 2001, I specialise in sustainability, environment and corporate social responsibility. I also have extensive experience in the translation of contracts and other legal text as well as tourism and destination branding translation.

I have translated three books (fiction and nonfiction), written essays and co-written a book, all of them about Scotland, which were published in Japan. In 2012, I led the project to produce a Japanese version of 'Translation: Getting It Right', which is available to download from the ITI website.
