How does it work?

ITI WSX is a membership group that brings together translators and interpreters within our geographical area to share professional and social experiences in person and online.

By becoming a member, you can

  • Network with other professionals in the area.
  • Take part in social, cultural and professional events in the region.
  • Have your say in the types of activities we run.
  • Help to promote translation and interpreting in our local area.
  • Access grants for mentoring or for travel to the ITI Conference.

Who can join?

Membership is open to anyone interested or involved in translation and interpreting, not just to members of the ITI. Most of our members are freelance translators and/or interpreters. While it is not a requirement to live in the region covered by our group, you will get the most benefit from membership if you are located in the South of England. If you live outside the area, you may find an ITI Network closer to you by searching on the ITI website.

How do I join?

Please contact our membership officer Charlotte Marston if you are interested in joining ITI WSX. Charlotte will send you a membership form and share details of how to pay the fee (currently £10 for the year or £5 for student or retired members).

Please note that ITI WSX is a professional networking organisation and does not itself employ linguists or commission work.

Please note: membership of one of our Networks does not constitute membership of ITI.
