About
The ITI Western Regional Group (WRG) was set up in 1988 and now has members drawn mainly from Bristol, Bath and the surrounding region. Our members cover a wide range of languages, specialisms and services.
What is the aim of the group?
- To promote translation as a profession and membership of the ITI
- To provide a local forum for translators and interpreters
- To support WRG members with a programme of professional and social events.

Our committee
Becca George
Becca George is a freelance translator working from French and Spanish into English. She specialises in medical, legal and commercial translations, with experience working in medical settings.
Becca has been living around the Bristol/Bath area since 2016, when she was studying for her MA in Translation. As of 2023, she is happy to announce she is a Chartered Linguist!

Lindsey Sidebottom
Lindsey Sidebottom is a freelance translator working from French and Spanish into English. With over 23 years’ experience of working in Financial Services and over 15 years of working in the Travel Industry, she specialises in financial and tourism translations.
Lindsey has been living in Somerset for over 35 years and is currently brushing up her German to add this to the repertoire of languages she translates from.
