Although we are a brand-new network, we have lots of ideas for future events, and we are also keen to receive suggestions from our members. Some of the proposed online CPD sessions include webinars and workshops on different aspects of BFL translation and interpreting, translation slams by language and specialisation, and discussions on industry events that members have attended. In-person events could include conferences or visits to businesses, factories, ateliers or museums to learn more about a specific aspect of our work. On the social side, we plan to organise introductory sessions for members to meet and get to know each other, online coffee mornings and quizzes, and who knows, perhaps the odd in-person get-together, depending on where our members are in the world!
