ITI supports open letter to NATO

Paul Appleyard, Chair of ITI, has joined with other representatives of the world language community and their humanitarian partners in signing an Open Letter to NATO.

The letter expresses the signatories' profound concern about the safety of civilian interpreters as a result of the planned drawdown of NATO troops from Afghanistan and urges for urgent action to be taken to protect them.
