ITI urges swift evacuation of Afghan interpreters
For many years ITI, as part of the worldwide language community, has been campaigning for the protection of interpreters who have served alongside the military, NGOs and embassy staff in Afghanistan.
With the situation deteriorating rapidly last week the ITI Chair, Paul Appleyard, wrote to the Secretary of State for Defence, the Foreign Secretary and the Prime Minister, imploring the UK government to do all in their power to ensure that those still in the country are evacuated as rapidly as possible.
