The European Conference on Literary Translation is an initiative of CEATL (European Council of Literary Translators’ Associations) as part of the UNESCO World Book Capital programme.
It will bring together all parties involved in literary translation: translators, writers, publishers, booksellers, librarians, training establishments, residencies, book festivals and fairs, and all the organisations supporting literary translation in Europe.
The working sessions, to be hosted by the European Parliament in Strasbourg, will be an unprecedented opportunity to discuss best practices and the challenges facing the sector (linguistic and editorial diversity, artificial intelligence, freedom of speech, etc.)
Seating is limited at the Parliament: if you intend to be there, do register as soon as possible.
For those who cannot attend the event in Strasbourg, the plenary sessions will also be livestreamed in French, English and German, and the videos will then be posted on the CEATL website.
The full conference programme and registration details can be found on the event website.
