As the freelance translation market grows and changes with the arrival of Generative AI, the ability to present yourself to potential agency clients effectively with an impactful CVs and cover letter is crucial. This interactive two-part workshop, will equip freelance translators with the skills and knowledge you need to create powerful CVs and cover letters tailored specifically for applying to LSPs.

The workshop will address current needs by offering practical guidance on how to make yourself stand out in a competitive agency environment. Participants will:

  • Discover the specific elements and structure of CVs suitable for LSPs
  • Learn strategies for highlighting USPs, relevant skills and experience
  • Gain insights into crafting personalised and impactful cover letters
  • Practice reviewing and improving CVs through interactive sessions
  • Acquire techniques for researching agencies and tailoring applications.

Session 2

Clinic

  • CVs and questions to be submitted ahead of the session. 
  • Panel review of participant CVs. The panel will work through as many as they can during the live session, if for any reason they run out of time, a member of the panel will provide individual feedback to the participant within 7 days of the session. Participants will be required to give permission for their CVs to be reviewed live by the panel.
