This event is organised by the ITI Sailing & Boating Network. We will visit the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in Poole on Saturday 7 May. There is more information about the RNLI here: https://rnli.org/. RNLI Poole, as well as operating as a lifeboat station, also hosts the RNLI College, where crews are trained. The residential facilities, used during the week by those trainees, are available at weekends for visitors. There are more details here: https://rnli.org/rnli-college. Those wishing to join this event should arrive at midday on Saturday 7 May. We will have lunch together and then at 2pm we will have a tour of the college facilities and an explanation of the work of the RNLI and the College. If you wish to stay the night of May 7 (or longer) please contact the RNLI direct on 01202 336 141 stating that you are part of the ITI group. We have been given a discount so single occupancy will be £110 and double occupancy £120. Both rates include breakfast and the tour, which is normally £7.50. The offer of discounted rooms will expire on April 4. If you only wish to attend the tour, please email me ([email protected]).
