You will discover how to incorporate AI technologies into your subtitling work and how to adapt to client expectations when it comes to using AI.
This two-part workshop will cover:
- A brief refresher on subtitling software
- An introduction to the automated tools offered by subtitling packages, including hands-on practice with some of the tools available within Ooona
- Building familiarity with the AI tools that can support a subtitling workflow
- Exposure to the way in which end clients and subtitling companies use AI in their own workflows and how that will affect the subtitler’s role, now and in the future
- What other tools, both paid and free, subtitlers can use to enhance their efficiency
- How LSPs and end clients are using AI in their workflows and how they might expect a subtitler to use AI or AI-generated content
- What is to come in this age of rapid development.
