Better business writing: Brand voice and website content with Bex Elder
|
|
In a changing market where more of us are focused on finding direct clients, standing out has never been more important. That’s why we thought now is the perfect time to get expert advice on how to market yourself effectively.
Ready to make your website work for you? Bex will walk us through the key elements that make a website stand out and show you, step by step, how to put them into action.
Over the course of the day, we'll look at brand voice, website strategy, website content and SEO basics. Throughout the workshop, we'll have breaks to begin to practically implement what we've discussed and ask any questions along the way. By the end of our time together, you'll have:
- Basic brand voice guidelines you can apply to ensure consistent messaging (with exercises you can do in your own time to go deeper)
- A plan on the web pages you want to create and how you'll lay it out
- An overview on how to write your key pages with a template you can use to think about keywords for discoverability and CTAs for user experience
- The beginnings of some web copy
- Answers to burning questions
The day will include around an hour's break for lunch. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or eat at one of the catering outlets on the university campus (or go elsewhere!).
